History
HitBTC has been operating since 2013, making it one of the oldest active exchanges in the market. The platform was created by a development team from Eastern Europe and quickly established itself as a reliable trading venue with high liquidity. In its early years HitBTC stood out for supporting a large number of trading pairs and a bot-friendly API.
In 2017 the exchange significantly expanded its team and launched a loyalty program for active traders. In 2020 HitBTC introduced fiat deposit support through partner payment services. By 2022 the exchange updated its interface and added a mobile app.
In recent years HitBTC has focused on B2B solutions and liquidity for institutional clients. The platform is also known for strict KYC requirements introduced in 2021. Despite lower volumes compared to peak levels, the exchange maintains a loyal user base.
