AscendEX (BitMax) ceases operations

AscendEX (formerly known as BitMax) has announced the cessation of its operations effective July 1, 2026.

What happened?

As of July 1, 2026, AscendEX has ceased all operations: account opening, deposits, trading, staking, etc. The reasons include regulatory developments (MiCA in EU), as well as financial and operational challenges.

Withdrawals

All withdrawal requests are now subject to manual review. Automated withdrawals are paused. Delays are expected.

What to do?

• Do not make new deposits
• Review your balances and KYC
• Submit withdrawal requests through the official platform
• Download your transaction history
